Take-Two Interactive has yet to announce any official figures regarding pre-orders for GTA VI. The game has likely already reached new heights, and an initial trend seems to be emerging.
According to IGN (citing internal sources), Grand Theft Auto VI is selling at a 6-to-1 ratio on PS5 compared to Xbox Series consoles. This phenomenon can be explained by the fact that the PS5 has sold significantly better than Microsoft’s consoles. Additionally, Rockstar Games and Sony have a marketing partnership surrounding the game.
Of course, this data should be taken with a grain of salt for now.
