Of note is the announcement surrounding the hardware component of the Zelda 40th anniversary Nintendo Switch 2 console and Pro Controller. According to My Nintendo News, this new batch comes with user-replaceable batteries, a significant shift from the standard model. This enhancement addresses long-standing consumer concerns over battery life and device longevity.

The game’s front sees a variety of advancements and announcements. IO Interactive’s 007 First Light is finally set to launch on March 18th. This long-awaited title adds a major action title to the Switch 2’s growing library. Pre-orders are now open, marking a significant milestone for fans who have tracked this game’s complex development path.

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave also expands its universe with new downloadable content through a newly announced Expansion Pass. As detailed by Nintendo Everything, the pass includes three waves of content, starting with Wave 1’s release today. These expansions will add weapons, outfits, new storylines, and characters, further engaging fans of the strategic RPG series.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is also seeing a surprise drop with Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, now available as a digital download for the newer console, as per Nintendo Everything. This surprise drop retains its pricing structure as a free upgrade, maintaining accessibility for current owners while drawing in new players.

In a look at re-visiting classics, two Toy Story titles are heading to the system with Toy Story 3: Complete Edition and Toy Story: Retro Roundup. Nintendo Everything’s interview with Digital Eclipse’s Chris Kohler has shed some light on the development and challenges regarding these classic titles from the 90s.

In other developments, Famitsu has released the first review of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Resonance, as reported by Nintendo Life. With the game releasing shortly, early reviews may sway undecided patrons.
