The tradition turns 18 today.
Happy Bungie Day everyone! Since July 7th of 2007, Halo and Destiny’s original creators have been celebrating Bungie Day on this date – a nod to the company’s inexplicable obsession with the number 7.
It doesn’t mean all that much anymore – although the studio is celebrating Bungie Day again this year – but at one point it was quite a big deal, with Halo 2 and Halo 3 even including achievements related to the date.
