The Last of Us Series Star Says Haters Don't Need To Watch Season 3

While HBO’s The Last of Us season 2 didn’t end with the same kind of reception from viewers as the first season, that doesn’t seem to have affected star Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie in the series, that much.

On the contrary, Ramsey has some spicy words for those who aren’t fans of season 2. While the barbs make sense, they really aren’t something you want your series star to say to potential season 3 watchers.

By my count, this is the first time Ramsey has said anything about season 2’s critics.

The Last of Us TV Show Star Has A Message For Haters

Ramsey was a guest on a podcast chat with The Awardist. During discussions about season 2, they were asked about the opinion of fans.

Ramsey said, “I try to stick there (blocking people out) to be honest, since there’s nothing I can do about it anyway. I mean, the show is out, there is nothing that can be changed or altered, so there isn’t really any point. in reading or looking at anything. People are, of course, entitled to their opinions, but it doesn’t affect the show or how the show continues in anything or anyway. It’s been a very separate thing to me. So no, I just don’t really engage.”

When the host asked what Ramsey had to say to the “louder critics” of Season 2 going into Season 3, the actor replied, “I would say, you don’t have to watch it. If you hate it that much, the game exists, you can just play the game again. You don’t have to watch it. But if you do want to watch it, I hope you enjoy it.”

Well, they have a point, though I doubt that’s the answer the show’s critics will like to hear.

While season 3 doesn’t have a release date yet, it looks like the show will need a fourth season to fully tell the story, according to the showrunner. Of course, it all depends on whether season 3’s ratings hold up, as I don’t think HBO will want a fourth season if the third season’s viewership tanks.

One thing we can be sure of is that even if the third season is a hit, don’t expect the TV series to drag on longer than it needs to be, at least according to those who handle the show’s development.

Will you be watching HBO’s The Last of Us Season 3? If not, let us know why in the comments.
