While Battlefield 6 appears to have made the right moves in many areas, based on the Open Beta that concluded earlier this month, the good news doesn’t stop there.
DICE has revealed a ton of details about Battlefield Portal—the custom playlist editor introduced in BF2042, which is being given a massive upgrade in the upcoming entry.
The latest update about BF Portal confirms the inclusion of one of the most-requested features when it comes to matches.
Battlefield 6 Gives Fans What They Want
In EA’s latest info drop about Battlefield Portal, the studio confirmed that players will have the ability to make their hosted servers persistent! It will be listed in the server browser for easy access.
This is included with your base game purchase, which means there’s no extra fee for doing this (essentially like having a rent-a-server for free).
The studio adds that players will have a wide array of options to filter the experiences they wish to see within the in-game server browser. What’s more, some experiences will even be featured directly on the home screen, which will make these playlists easier to find.
While we’ve had a mountain of good news about Battlefield 6 so far, one piece of bad news surfaced today, confirming that one graphical enhancement won’t be making its way into the game.
With the BF6 Open Beta confirmed to be a huge success for EA, can it beat the publisher’s expectations? We talk about that, which is something Battlefield fans might want to take a look at as well.
Battlefield 6 will be released on October 10 for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
