Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice PS4 Owners Are Now Entitled To A Free PS5

Owners of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice on the PS4 are now able to upgrade to the PS5 version of the critically acclaimed title for free. In case you missed it, the game is also included as part of the Deluxe Edition for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, which is out today for the PS5.

The official blurb for the release of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 Enhanced Deluxe Edition, which is also coming to the Xbox Series X/S and PC, reads as follows:

This edition also includes the Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice Original Soundtrack, so we think it’s a great value package for those of you who are new to the franchise on PlayStation. For those of you who already own the PlayStation 4 release of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, you can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free.

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice was originally released for PC and PS4 in August 2017 and was later made available for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in April 2018 and April 2019, respectively. The game was given an Xbox Series X/S upgrade in 2021, but at the time PS5 players had to miss out.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II was originally released for PC and Xbox Series X/S in May last year, and sees the titular heroine returning for a new adventure that sees her battling tough the Viking Iceland during the 9th century. You’ll have to navigate treacherous terrain, including ice-covered slopes and storm-battered coastlines as you battle with your inner demons, including Senua’s struggle against psychosis.
