Hollow Knight is not a particularly easy game, so it makes a lot of sense to stack the cards in your favour wherever and whenever you can.
When travelling through the Fungal Wastes, you may have chanced upon an odd bug named Leg Eater, who will sell you a bunch of extremely powerful charms. The caveat, however? Well, if you die while wearing them, they’ll break, and you’ll have to return to him and pay a bunch of Geo to get them restored to their original condition.
While this may not be too much of an issue as you get richer and richer throughout the course of your adventure, the real pain is taking the time to go back to him over and over again. So what if I told you there’s a way to make these charms unbreakable? Worth it, right? Just don’t expect it to be cheap.
Leg Eater
If you haven’t found Leg Eater yet, he can be encountered in the Fungal Wastes close to the entrance where you transition to the Forgotten Crossroads. He can be encountered pretty early on, so if you’re confident in your abilities or playing a Steel Soul run, it’s definitely worth your while stopping by.
He’s pretty obsessed with money, so you’ll have to pay 86 Geo before he’ll actually show you his wares, but it’s worth it. Here are the charms available to the player.

Fragile Greed |
This charm is great if you’re strapped for cash. Enemies will drop more Geo when you defeat them. Use it in situations where you’re not in any great danger, as it might result in a net negative Geo if you die. Pair with Gathering Swarm for easy Geo Collection |

Fragile Heart |
Equipping Fragile Heart will give you 2 full masks of health, which is a pretty massive bonus compared to charms like Lifeblood Heart, because this health can actually be healed. This is amazing for a Steel Soul run, as if you die, it’s over anyway, and you want as much leeway as possible. |

Fragile Strength |
This is a simple yet undeniably powerful charm. When you equip this, all of your nail attacks will do 50 % more damage. If you’re playing a build that focuses on downing bosses as fast as possible with charms like Quick Slash and Stalwart Shell, this charm is a must. |

Leg Eater, weirdly enough, enjoys the smell from the Defender’s Crest. If you equip it, he will offer you a discount!
Divine
Now, if you want to upgrade these charms into their unbreakable variants, you’re first going to have to activate the Grimm Troupe DLC and find a character called Divine.
To call the Grimm Troupe to Dirtmouth, first you must travel to the Howling Cliffs and light the Nightmare Lantern. Upon its activation, the Troupe will settle among the inhabitants, and you can access the related characters and quests.
To find Divine, look for a smaller tent that’s located due west of the main one. It’s hard to miss.
Be very careful not to complete the banishment part of the Grimm Troupe Quest. Upon completion, the whole troupe, including Divine, will leave Dirtmouth, making the unbreakable charm variants permanently unobtainable.
You have the option to give the Fragile Charms to Divine, and after a few lines of dialogue, she will offer to give you the unbreakable version. But of course, this comes at a cost. It’s best to do this during the late game when you have a lot of disposable Geo on hand.
Remember, to upgrade a specific charm, you must equip it first. Then Divine will consume it if you let her.

While these charms are pretty useful, they act more as a completionist/end-game Geo sink for people who have probably already completed the game. By the time you actually get these charms, you will have unlocked the vast majority of what Hollow Knight has to offer, and as such, probably won’t be dying as often.
Nevertheless, if you find yourself losing the Fragile Charms pretty frequently, these are definitely worth having.
Acquiring Large Amounts of Geo
If you’re struggling to get enough Geo to acquire all the charm upgrades, here are a few good methods of earning as much as possible. To buy all the unbreakable variants, you’ll need a total of 36,000 Geo.
Millibelle The Banker
You can find Millbelle in Fog Canyon near the now run-down Queen’s Station. When you first talk to her, she will ask for 100 Geo to open a bank account.
The best way to extract as much money from her as possible is to give her 4500 Geo right from the get-go. She will eventually escape with your hard-earned cash, but if you head over to the Pleasure House in the City of Tears, she can be found once more. Attack her, and she will drop Geo pretty much equal to 1.5x what you originally stored, for a payout of 6834.
Collecting Lost Grubs
Throughout your adventures, you may have seen some grubs trapped in little glass bottles. Freeing these grubs and returning to the Grubfather is an excellent way of earning a bunch of Geo, alongside some other powerful rewards like Charms and Pale Ore.
If you choose to collect all the rewards at once, you will earn a total of 6750 Geo from 46 rescued Grubs. And that doesn’t count the extra rewards like Seals and Idols.
Relic Seeker Lemm
You can take the Relics earned from the Grubs and trade them for Geo at Lemm’s place in the City of Tears. Relics can be found all over the world in hidden places. Seeking these out is one of the most profitable activities in Hollow Knight.

Miscellaneous Tasks
If you still don’t have enough Geo, try completing every single Colosseum trial. These trials are repeatable and will greatly improve your abilities for when you eventually tackle the Pantheons in the future.
When you put all these things together, you’ll have more than enough Geo to purchase all the Unbreakable charms from Divine. You’ll never have to go back to Leg Eater ever again. In fact, you might as well feed him to Divine! She’ll appreciate that, trust me.
