Better gear up because, after just a few weeks of its launch, a brand-new Vault Hunter is already on its way to Borderlands 4: a former casino bot turned drifter (can’t get more Borderlands than that) called C4SH.
He was revealed during the game’s most recent panel at Tokyo Game Show 2025, accompanied by a stylish trailer that showcases his appearance and full kit, which are based on a dark, casino vibe.
C4SH is the first of two new Vault Hunters coming to Borderlands 4 in the future and is included in the first Story Pack paid DLC, called “Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned” – planned to launch in Q1 2026. You can check his introduction teaser right below!
This Story Pack is only one of the many new additions planned as part of the post-launch roadmap for Borderlands 4, which includes a new location called Kairos, a whole pack of main and side missions, shiny new gear, a bunch of cosmetics, and more story content.
Meet C4SH: Borderlands 4’s New Vault Hunter in First Story Pack
Described as “a former casino dealer bot, who is now a drifter chasing the probability-breaking highs of cursed eldritch artifacts”, C4SH has skills based on random chance and balancing risk with reward – so he can be really powerful, or become something close to a Claptrap 2.0. I must confess that I’m pretty excited to watch him in action.
In order to unlock the new Vault Hunter as soon as he is out (sometime between January 2026 and the end of March 2026), you must own the “Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned” DLC. The expansion is already included on the Super Deluxe Edition of the game, or you can simply buy it separately when it finally comes out.
Borderlands 4 was originally released on September 12, 2025, and is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via the Epic Games Store and Steam), with a release for Nintendo Switch 2 slated for the near future.
