EA Sports FC 26 players recently reported a pricing error for the in-game currency, FC Points, allowing gamers to create stacked teams at a massive discount. It appears the accidental markdown was only on Indonesian servers, but that didn’t stop players from different parts of the world from cashing in using VPNs.
While EA hasn’t addressed these claims, multiple posts on Reddit suggest the problem originated when a player attempted to purchase 18,500 FC Points for two million Indonesian rupiah ($120 USD), but instead was only charged 20,000 rupiah ($1.20 USD).
It appears players from around the world may have caught wind of the error, allowing them to create teams stacked with the best players available for very cheap.
EA FC 26 Players Discover FC Points Pricing Error
According to the original Reddit post, and comments from the community, the accidental discount may have not only given players an unfair advantage on the field, they claim it also affected the market.
This is why selling coins on the PC platform is so cheap and the market is in a tragic situation.

A second post from a different user gives further insight into the situation by claiming that the pricing error was only encountered by customers using Apple Pay, suggesting that the mistake had already caused irreversible damage to the game’s PC market.
People bought games, points and EA Play Pro subscriptions for peanuts. Literally.

While these reports haven’t been confirmed by EA, word of the once-in-a-lifetime discount appears to have spread fast, giving players the chance to fill their pockets and build their dream teams.
Since you can use FC points to acquire players for Ultimate Team mode, the concern appears to be that if a large number of players were able to exploit the pricing error, there would be an inflated number of teams stacked with the best players, which could negatively affect the experience of other players.
