While the Mall in Tormented Souls 2 may not be a great place to shop these days, it’s certainly a great place to uncover more macabre mysteries and obtain valuable items via some tricky puzzles.
One such puzzle that you may find yourself punching a wall over is the so-called Fridge puzzle, which you need to complete to open it and obtain a helpful health item along with a key. Here’s how to complete the Fridge puzzle in Tormented Souls 2.
How to Find Pharmacy Fridge Puzzle in Tormented Souls 2
The Pharmacy Fridge puzzle is located inside the Mall section of the game, which you can access after you’ve left the convent for the first time. Do make sure that you’ve explored and unlocked all that you can in the convent (such as the missable Shotgun weapon) before progressing, as you’ll get soft-locked out of that section until later.
Note that to unlock the back door to the Mall, you need to get the Mall Staff Entrance Key from the corpse hanging on the wall in the bottom level of the Butcher Shop in the Town section. The Butcher Shop can be accessed via the street to the right of the Mall through its partially open shutter door.
Once you have that, you can access the Mall via the staff entrance door on the side of the building. Once inside, you then need to locate the Pharmacy, which is a two-level shop that’s initially accessible on the first floor on the right side.
On the upper level of the Pharmacy in the back near the stairs is the small fridge that you want to break into. You’ll need to restore power to the Mall via the Basement level to get it working first. Once that’s taken care of, return to the Pharmacy and pick up the Instant Photo item (as seen above) that’s on the lower level. The colored symbols on the back of it serve as your hint for completing the puzzle.
How to Complete Pharmacy Fridge Puzzle in Tormented Souls 2
Start by interacting with the fridge. Your goal here is to adjust the colors for each letter (‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’) at the top of the machine to the correct ones by using the black dials on the left side.
The solution for the puzzle is the following:
- A = Blue
- B = Yellow (already done, so can be left alone)
- C = Red
Turn each black dial until the correct color appears under each letter. Once done, the fridge’s door will open, revealing the contents that are your rewards.
One is a First Aid Kit, which is an incredibly strong healing item (one you should conserve for the game’s most difficult encounters). The other item is the Dojo Key (seen above), which you can use to unlock the gym shop on the second floor of the Mall (its window has the same symbol as the key).
Getting access there is crucial, as you’ll find the Box Cutter item in the bathroom area of the shop, which you need for the ringing pay phone back outside on the street.
