Borderlands 4 received its first Bounty Pack DLC called ‘How Rush Saved Mercenary Day.’ As part of this DLC, you no longer just have access to the normal bosses in the game, like Genone or the Timekeeper.
Borderlands 4: Sludgemaw Location and Loot Drops
Sludgemaw is one of the more annoying bosses in Borderlands 4, but it drops some amazing items.
Now, you have access to a new boss called Minister Screw. He has stolen the presents that were to be given out on Mercenary Day, and it is up to you to get them back. The only way you will do that is with guns, and lots of them.
Luckily, Minister Screw drops some new legendary gear for you to try out. Here are all the drops from Minister Screw in Borderlands 4.
Minister Screw Location
Minister Screw is part of the first DLC for Borderlands 4, and as such, he is in a new location that is not normally found on the map. This new location is called the Ministry of Culture, and it is located to the east of the Deep Seven Order Silo in the Fadefields.
You can also reach this location easily by traveling to Zadra’s Backup Plan, but I find it much easier to travel to the Order Silo, as you won’t need to ride the elevator up from the underground lair.
The entrance to the Ministry of Culture is in the back of a truck parked outside the Synthetic Nave location. Interacting with this truck will teleport you to the new location. Once there, traverse the area to the end to find Minister Screw.
If this is your first time completing this location, you will need to have started The War on Mercenary Day mission given by Rush at The Launch Pad and have progressed the mission to the point where you travel to the Ministry of Culture.
All Minister Screw Legendary Drops
Minister Screw has three dedicated drops that you have the potential of receiving each time you defeat him. These include one pistol, one Assault Rifle, and one Repkit.
|
Name |
Item Type |
Abilities |
|---|---|---|
|
Healthraiser |
RepKit |
Spawns health boosters at both the start and end of the Repkit’s duration. |
|
Rowdy Rider |
Assault Rifle |
Seems to always spawn with the cryo element. Ricochets two additional projectiles on critical hits. |
|
Inscriber |
Pistol |
Each time you hit an enemy, the weapon spawns four projectiles behind the enemy hit. |
The new weapons are fairly good, with the Rowdy Rider being a bit of a star due to its higher critical damage and additional projectiles. The Inscriber is also a good weapon that has an interaction with the Head Ringer Enhancement, increasing its damage output from the explosive projectiles that spawn behind the targets. Unfortunately, the weapon doesn’t have an interaction with the Airburst firmware.
Borderlands 4: Rocken Roller Location and Loot Drops
Rocken Roller is the only pangolin boss in Borderlands 4, but it drops one of the most powerful weapons in the game, so farming it is a must.
Tips for Defeating Minister Screw
Minister Screw is quite the annoying boss, as he loves to move around, and he constantly summons small toy enemies to bombard you. I suggest taking out his assistant, Donk, first, as this will allow you to have a bit of breathing room.
Once Donk is out of the way, you can freely focus on Minister Screw. Depending on which Vault Hunter you are playing as, you may have a more difficult time hitting him. Playing as Harlowe, I found it more difficult to hit him with the Chroma Accelerator and deal substantial damage, but Rafa appeared to have an easier time.
Minister Screw has three main attacks that will keep him still long enough to deal substantial damage. These are his wreath projectile, the gravity well, and his present shot, where he throws presents around the arena.
Take the time during these attacks to deal damage to him and watch where he moves. If he uses the gravity well, you can easily escape it using the grappling hook spots on the central structure on the ceiling.
As for elements, you will want to have weapons that deal shock, corrosive, and incendiary damage, as both Minister Screw and Donk are weak to these damage types, with Donk having a shield and two armor bars, and Minister Screw having a shield, an armor bar, and a health bar.
