Canadian developers Behaviour Interactive have brought us several ghoulishly good collaborations with popular IPs since the release of their survival horror title Dead by Daylight nearly ten years ago.
The Creature Cast co-host Steve Vegvari won’t stop reminding us all that they brought in his word — “THE Alan Wake” not so long ago. And let’s face it, they even gave us the Freddy Kruger that his very own game seemingly couldn’t!
I’m sure nobody will forget the first time they gave us the cast of Netflix’s Stranger Things.
That’s right…I said it the first time, because the gang is back to die before daylight once again!
In Dead by Daylight: Stranger Things Chapter 2, Vecna becomes a new killer for players to run from! Entering The Fog to face down “The First” are two brand-new Survivors, Jane “Eleven” Hopper and Dustin Henderson!
Aside from finally having Dustin, Behaviour didn’t forget those who came before “The First” — in fact, they made them characters pretending to be other characters! Pick up new Legendary Outfits for past Survivors Nancy Wheeler, Dustin Henderson, and Steve Harrington — resembling Robin Buckley, Eddie Munson and Jonathan Byers, respectively.
Behaviour maintains that Steve and Nancy quickly became a couple of the most popular Survivors, thus making it easy for the dev team to decide to revisit The Fog. However, this writer is still not sure why you’d ever want to do that! “When Stranger Things first joined Dead by Daylight, it felt like a milestone,” shares Dead by Daylight‘s creative director, Dave Richard, in a press release. “Seeing the franchise return – and evolve – is something special for us. This new Chapter doesn’t just celebrate the show, it deepens the connection between two worlds that share a love for nostalgia, mystery, and horror. The show may have wrapped, but we’re excited to give these characters the chance to continue their adventure in our game.”
Dead by Daylight: Stranger Things Chapter 2 is currently available as part of the Steam public test build. It releases officially on January 27th.
