Open-world terraforming sandbox game Blossom: The Seed of Life will arrive next month.

Announced today, the game will launch on March 9 on PC (via Steam). A new trailer can be seen here.

Game developer Thorin (aka Pebbledust Games) said this about Blossom: The Seed of Life:

“Blossom is a game about hope. I wanted players to feel that even on a dead planet, life can emerge step by step. The game is built around small tasks and experimentation — until suddenly everything connects and the planet starts to breathe.”

A synopsis for the game reads:

In a solo developed Blossom, players take control of a small robot sent to a barren Mars. Their goal is to create life there. Terraforming unfolds through interconnected systems: raising atmospheric pressure to form ice, melting it into water, converting dust into soil, and gradually introducing plant and animal life. Over time, the red planet transforms visibly — skies turn blue, forests spread, and ecosystems begin to emerge.

Unlike traditional survival games, players manage energy rather than hunger. As a machine built to survive where humans cannot, Blossom relies on batteries and power systems to move, explore, and operate terraforming equipment. Careful resource planning becomes central to progress.

The game also features modular, mobile base-building. Players can construct customizable rovers equipped with functional modules and chain them into convoys, allowing infrastructure to move across the planet instead of remaining in a single location.

Blossom: The Seed of Life can be wishlisted on Steam right now here. A demo is also available for those looking to try it out.
