During a stream this week, Hugo Martin, director, writer, and co-director at id Software, discussed the content of the planned DLC for DOOM: The Dark Ages. Available since last May, the FPS is set to receive new content soon.
Martin said that the DLC is “huge” and “almost a sequel”. It features a different gameplay loop from the base game and quick weapon-switching. The combat system has been completely redesigned, and the difficulty could be particularly high.
We’ll have to be patient, though, as the trailer announcing the additional content isn’t ready just yet.
