LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Showcases the Batcave in Latest Dev Diary

We are exactly five weeks away from LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight‘s launch and to anticipate the game, Warner Bros. Games has released a dev diary, that gives an in-depth look at Batman’s underground headquarters, the Batcave.

The video narrated by developer TT Games’ strategic director and head of development team, Jonathan Smith shows off a collection of batsuits that the caped crusaders has dawned over the years and more so decades. Fans with a keen eye can spot a LEGO-fied version of the character’s 1939 debut suit all the way to his latest costume in The Batman (2022) movie starring Robert Pattinson.

It’s not just about what the Dark Knight wears in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight but what he drives, as we see a range of Batmobiles, including the classic Adam West Batman TV series (1966–1968) car, the Batmobile from Batman (1989); as well as the one from Batman Forever (1995); the heavy-duty Tumbler from The Dark Knight Trilogy (2005, 2008, 2012), and more. The Batcave isn’t just a museum honouring different eras of Batman as players can use the space to upgrade gadgets, display trophies, log into the Batcomputer to review case files, make the Batcave yours by redecorating it with a variety of LEGO‑themed options and… hey is that a personal gym.

This wasn’t the only LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight news this week, as Warner Bros. Games revealed that one of the 100 different alternative outfits Batman can wear in the game includes Absolute Batman, the latest ongoing comic series written by Scott Snyder in DC’s current Absolute run.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is set to launch for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X}S on May 22nd, which is a week earlier from its initial date of May 29th. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is also in development but no exact date on that, but is set to launch later in 2026.
