A game based on a distinctive Canadian story is receiving an exclusive reveal trailer, as well as details on its launch date! Coming to us all from Québec’s Unreliable Narrators, The Caribou Trail recounts an active first-person narrative adventure set during the Gallipoli Campaign.
While this was one part of World War I in which Canada played a smaller role, the then-country of Newfoundland sent its Newfoundland Regiment, which lost 40 lives in the campaign’s failure.
The Caribou Trail tells the story of the men and boys from The Rock, which would become our country’s tenth province in 1949.
In a first-person narrative focused on survival, memory, and the fragile bonds formed in the trenches of WW1, take over Fisher, a young fisherman from Newfoundland, as he navigates an unfamiliar war he was oversold on, far from home, alongside those he calls brothers.
This isn’t one of those games where there’s a score or a kill count nobody can keep up with.
No, this is a test of endurance, silence, and the hope of making it home.
The Caribou Trail launches on May 14, 2026, on Steam, Epic Games Store, and PlayStation 5.
