Swedish indie studio Elden Pixels has launched their surreal comedic adventure The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest on GOG.com today, complete with a 20% launch discount for the first seven days. The game, priced at $14.99, marks the first collaboration between publisher Acclaim and the DRM-free gaming platform.
The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest puts players in the fractured mind of Fletcher Howie Jr., a game developer facing a mental breakdown during crunch time on a major project. After a therapy session goes badly wrong, Fletcher becomes trapped in his own subconscious and must navigate a bizarre world filled with his fears and anxieties in what the developers describe as a “microvania” adventure.
This isn’t Elden Pixels’ first rodeo. The studio previously created Alwa’s Awakening, Alwa’s Legacy, and A Void Hope before tackling this deeply personal project. According to the press release, the game draws from real experiences and aims to explore mental health themes through dark comedy and platforming gameplay.

The game originally launched on Steam and Nintendo Switch back in February 2026, and its arrival on GOG represents Acclaim’s expanding partnership with the platform. Marc Anthony Rodriguez from Acclaim praised the game’s “madness, mayhem, and surreal humour” whilst expressing excitement about bringing more titles to GOG in future.

The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest is available now on GOG.com with its launch discount running for seven days. A new launch trailer has been released to celebrate the GOG debut, showcasing Fletcher’s strange journey through his troubled psyche.
