Palworld Hardwood: How to get Hardwood explained

One of the new materials added in the Palworld 1.0 launch update is Hardwood, and you’ll need a lot of it at higher levels.

Thankfully, it’s not at all hard to find, and if you’ve already explored plenty of the map, then you won’t struggle to farm Hardwood to your heart’s content.

So, for a quick look at where to find Hardwood in Palworld, how to farm it and what it’s used for, let’s dive in.

Palworld Hardwood: How to get Hardwood explained

Hardwood can be found in various locations across the Palworld map, but the two easiest and most abundant locations are:

  • Twilight Dunes
  • Dancing Sakura Shrine

To get to Twilight Dunes more easily, make sure you’ve unlocked the Anubis Dunes fast travel locations just northeast of the Anubis statue and boss area.

From here, you’ll be able to harvest Hardwood by using an Axe on the spiky-leaved trees dotted around the region.

To get to the Dancing Sakura Shrine trees more easily, you’ll want to unlock the Moonflower Tower Entrance fast travel point, located to the northwest of the Sakurajima Watchtower statue.

In this area, you can harvest Hardwood from any of the Sakura trees with a red or white trunk.

These are the two easiest ways to farm Hardwood, but there are others, so it’s worth swinging your Axe at a tree every now and then just to check.

You can also get Hardwood as a drop from several Pals such as:

  • Mossanda
  • Mossanda Lux
  • Palumba
  • Wumpo Botan

Last, but not least, once you’ve built a Logging Site II, you’ll begin to produce Hardwood over time, giving you a permanent supply of it.

It’s recommended that as soon as you start collecting Hardwood, you harvest 100 units before you use them for anything.

This means that, from Level 43 onwards, you can craft the Logging Site II to give you that extra Hardwood over time.

It is worth bearing in mind, however, that this will also require five Ancient Civilization Parts as well as Stone and Paladium Fragments, but it’s worth it in the long run because of how much time you’ll save later down the line.
