Last April, Spiders, the studio known for Greedfall and Steelrising, closed its doors following Nacon’s severe financial difficulties. Bigben Interactive, the publisher’s parent company, has been in bankruptcy since March 2026.

If Spiders hadn’t found a buyer, Midgar Studio will unfortunately suffer the same fate. According to Gauthier Gautoz Andres of Origami, the Montpellier-based studio was placed into liquidation on Wednesday, July 1. The company is set to close in the near future.

Midgar was scheduled to release its single-player action-RPG, Edge of Memories, at the end of the year. We do not know if it will be canceled.
