New Lisa Limited Edition DualSense Controller Unveiled for PS5

Sony teams up with Lisa from Blackpink for a limited edition PS5 DualSense controller, launching in October.

This week brings a mix of hardware news and game updates for PlayStation fans, but the standout story is Sony’s latest collaboration with global ambassador Lisa from Blackpink, resulting in a new limited edition PS5 DualSense controller.

New Lisa Limited Edition PS5 DualSense Controller

Sony Interactive Entertainment continues its partnership with Thai singer Lisa (Blackpink) by announcing a limited edition “Lisa” DualSense controller for the PS5. As detailed by PlayStation LifeStyle and PushSquare, this new “Chroma Pearl Lisa” controller will be available for preorder from October 2nd, with an official release date on October 30th. Priced at $84.99 USD, the controller is part of a broader “Lisa x PlayStation” merch collection, which includes apparel and accessories. The collaboration appears to target both fans of PlayStation and Lisa, marking a significant push by Sony to leverage pop culture partnerships.

Game Updates and Releases

In game-related news, the PS Plus Extra lineup grows as “Ball X Pit” and “Slitterhead” become available to members in the UK, USA, and Japan territories. Reports from PushSquare indicate that this is part of a phased release of the full September 2026 lineup, already live in other regions.

Meanwhile, the classic SNES RPGs, “Lufia” and “Lufia 2”, are set to be revived on the PS5 next year. As noted by PushSquare, the games will benefit from enhanced gameplay, brought back to life by new publisher Clear River Games in collaboration with TAITO.

Additionally, “Stellar Blade” players on PS5 will receive a free DLC pack featuring Bayonetta-themed costumes in November. As reported by PlayStation LifeStyle, this update aligns with the game’s upcoming release on the Nintendo Switch 2, continuing its post-launch success.

Deals on the PS Store

In terms of deals, “Monster Hunter Rise + Sunbreak” sees significant discounts on the PS Store, dropping to under $10 until September 24th. As PlayStation LifeStyle describes, this offers a substantial 84% off, including the expansion. Such aggressive pricing strategies, especially after it was offered as a freebie in March, clearly aim to broaden the player base ahead of the Fall season.

This week shows PlayStation continuing to capitalize on both nostalgic game re-releases and crossover promotions with pop culture icons, underscoring Sony’s diversified approach to engaging its audience in 2026.
