October heralds a deluge of new Xbox games, featuring notable updates like The Witcher 3 Remastered and Minecraft Dungeons II.
Today’s briefing centers on the flood of new releases and updates awaiting Xbox players as we approach October. The recurring theme is anticipation, with a focus on both upcoming titles and significant updates to existing ones.
A Glut of October Releases
October 2026 is shaping up to be a busy month for Xbox gamers. Compilation articles from both TheXboxHub and Pure Xbox neatly list the titles that players can expect on console, Game Pass, and Play Anywhere. While these outlets don’t delve into specifics, it’s clear the roster is substantial, promising a crowded but exciting month for players.
The Witcher 3 Remastered Patches
Coming alongside these releases, a notable update for an established classic is turning heads. The Witcher 3 Remastered is receiving a substantial update, with Pure Xbox highlighting 70+ new features as revealed in the patch notes. This update will be available for the Xbox Series X and Series S, promising enhanced gameplay, although specific details remained sparse.
Minecraft Dungeons II Expansion
The Minecraft universe is also expanding with the release of Minecraft Dungeons II. As reported by Xbox News, this installment introduces new ARPG elements and a sprawling world full of intricate paths and exploration opportunities. With new character builds, gear, and the innovative addition of jumping, the game aims to offer a rich, interconnected experience.
Promotional Tactics
In a less conventional move blending gaming and gastronomy, a promotional partnership for Gears of War: E-Day combines the game with a distinctive pizza offering. Although the pizza cutters are reportedly sold out, the “Emergence Pie” by Prince St. Pizza will still be available from November 1, offering fans not only culinary delight but an in-game emblem as well.
Overall, it’s a promising period for Xbox enthusiasts, with new titles and updates promising to refresh game libraries just in time for the cooler months.
