Sony previews Until Dawn 2 characters and plans exclusive PS5 gameplay livestream ahead of January release.
The focus today remains on Sony’s upcoming horror game, Until Dawn 2, which is steadily building anticipation as we head towards its release in January 2027. PlayStation Lifestyle has reported on new character details, introducing the eight members of Dead True, a ghost-hunting team that will be central to the game’s narrative-driven horror experience. This character reveal aims to deepen players’ connection to the story before they explore the eerie Akishima Island.
Complementing this character unveiling, the game will also be highlighted in an exclusive livestream event by Sony at Alamo Drafthouse in December, as reported by PushSquare. This PS5 exclusive event will showcase gameplay and provide further insights into what players can expect when they finally get their hands on the title early next year.
Deep Discounts on PlayStation Titles
There are notable discounts available on the PlayStation Store. Injustice 2: Legendary Edition is marked down by 90%, offering PS4 users a chance to grab the award-winning fighter title packed with additional content and updates for under $6. Meanwhile, Sifu Deluxe Edition, available on both PS5 and PS4, is discounted by 80% and includes an array of extras such as an artbook, original soundtrack, and deluxe outfits. These deals, part of Sony’s Signature Savings promotion, are available until November 5.
Looking Ahead: New Releases and Anniversaries
Fans of the No More Heroes series have something to look forward to, as Grasshopper Manufacture has hinted at plans to celebrate its 20th anniversary next year with the possible return of Travis Touchdown.
Additionally, for those who relish a touch of the retro, the ’90s style sci-fi horror game Derelikt is set to launch on the PS5 on November 13. This title promises to deliver an old-school horror experience set aboard a mysterious outpost in the far reaches of space.
Finally, for those curious about the year-end rush, a recent PushSquare poll highlights the overwhelming selection of PS5 games released in anticipation of GTA 6. With many publishers avoiding competition with the juggernaut release, the last few months have been packed with exciting new games hitting the shelves.
