This RPG from Edmund McMillen, renowned for his work on The Binding of Isaac, brings a unique playground for players to engage in feline genetics and taktikal combat. It’s already attracted glowing reviews, holding a global player rating of 4.92 out of 5, highlighted by PlayStation Lifestyle. For fans of McMillen’s previous work, this is a notable release, especially with its ‘roguelike tactics’ adding a fresh twist to the RPG experience.
Ace Combat 8 Gathers Momentum
On the horizon, Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve gears up for its October release, with Bandai Namco ramping up its promotional efforts. A new story trailer gives a peek into the game’s setting, adding to the excitement with confirmation of an “Annihilation Battle” mode. Both PlayStation Blog and PushSquare emphasize the grand scale expected from this entry, with the latter advising those who are already sold on purchasing to skip the trailer to avoid spoilers.

For those looking for PlayStation Store deals, there’s notable price drops on some popular titles. Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition is discounted to $9.99 from its usual $39.99 until September 24, as reported by PlayStation Lifestyle. Moreover, GTA Online is available at a discounted rate of $9.99, likely to keep fans busy until the release of GTA 6, as noted here.
PS5 Engagement Remains Steady
Despite recent efforts from a social media-led PS5 blackout campaign, analyst Mat Piscatella from Circana notes there was “no significant change” in player count or engagement for PS5 in the US during the protest period. This data, highlighted by PushSquare, underscores the difficulties faced by such campaigns in influencing corporate practices through user disengagement.
