Where Winds Meet has a fairly extensive character creation system; you can edit almost every aspect of your character’s face, making it better than most other current character creation systems.
Strangely enough, when creating your character, despite being able to choose wild options like Smart Customization, you probably noticed that you can’t change your hair color. This is an unusual choice, considering how in-depth the character creation system is.
Luckily, there is a way around this conundrum, allowing you to change your character’s hair color. Unfortunately, you have to go out of your way to do it, and possibly spend money.
Can You Change Your Hair Color in Where Winds Meet?
Yes. It is possible to change your hair color in Where Winds Meet, but it requires some specific items from the in-game store. The items needed to dye your hair, and specific clothing, are Timeless Hairdye and Inkshade Hairdye.
Timeless Hairdye is used for dying your hair bright colors, while Inkshade Hairdye is used to dye your hair dull or pastel colors. In the menu, this appears as either Basic Hairdye or Advanced Hairdye.
Only certain hairstyles can be dyed in Where Winds Meet. When choosing your hairstyle, you will notice that some of the hairstyles have a color swatch in the corner of their icon. This swatch means that you can dye this hairstyle, and hairstyle icons without the swatch symbol cannot be dyed.
It is important to note that you cannot get around the need for hairdye by using the game’s smart customization feature or by foolishly deleting your character and starting over. You can, however, purchase an already dyed hairstyle using Elegance Points obtained through appearances, dyeing, and collecting sets.
How to Get Hairdye in Where Winds Meet
Hairdye is one of the items that you will get through the Currency Exchange. To obtain this item, you first need to open the menu. From there, select the “draw” option to access the draw menu.
In the draw menu, select the option on the left side labeled “Solemn Echo.” From there, you can choose the “Exchange Shop” option on the right side of the screen. This will bring you to the exchange shop where you can exchange the Essence of Earth currency for different items, including hairdye.
If you don’t have Essence of Earth, you can obtain it by drawing via the draw menu. This will get you various items with the currency that you can then exchange in the exchange shop.
How to Dye Your Hair in Where Winds Meet
Now that you have the hairdye required, you can dye your hair in Where Winds Meet. To do this, access this in-game menu and go to the appearance menu. From there, you will need to select one of the hairstyles with the previously mentioned color swatch.
Once this is done, choose the dye option that appears in the bottom right corner of the screen. You will then need to choose whether you want to apply basic dye or advanced dye.
After you have chosen which color you would like your hair to be, you can choose the save option to apply the dye. Keep in mind, it requires 10 dyes to dye your hair.
