Where Winds Meet: Mirage Boat Event Information Guide

Once you start exploring the Multiplayer options in Where Winds Meet, you’ll quickly come to understand the wealth of activities available.

Whether you enjoy bounty hunting, boss slaying, or even just chilling out playing some Mahjong, there are options for every type of player. However, one of the events that has caused quite the commotion recently is the Mirage Boat event.

But just why is this event so widely talked about? Get ready, folks. This boat costs upwards of 40 Grand. No, not 40,000 in-game coins, nor Echo Beads, but $40,000 in cold, hard cash. I know, I had to take a moment to process it.

Where Winds Meet: How to Find and Use All Currencies

Enough money to make your head spin!

So, what exactly is this boat, and how can you see it for yourself? Today, I’ll be going over just how to get your hands on this majestic masterpiece and how to complete the Co-op event!

How To Obtain the Mirage Boat

What is the Mirage Boat?

When you think of mounts, you’re probably thinking of some kind of rideable animal, like that shiny horse obtainable in the Gacha Draw, right? Well, the Mirage Boat itself is actually a mount, and multiple people can come on board to experience it for themselves.

However, as I mentioned, owning it isn’t exactly cheap. Firstly, head to the Casual Co-op section on the Wandering Paths menu. Click on the Mirage Boat option and then view details, where it will take you to the world map. Click on the Painted Boat Construction Icon, and click Exchange for Mirage Dreamweaver Blueprint.

This can also be found in the Appearance section, or simply by going to the dock at Riverside Station in Qinghe and speaking directly with Wen Shou.

How Much Does It Cost?

Here, it will tell you that this boat is going to cost you 170 Mirage Torn Pages. But just what is that item, and how can we even obtain it?

Well, these pages can be obtained by trading in Harmonic Cores via the Draw Shop. Another item? Don’t worry, I was confused at first, too.

The Harmonic Cores can be won from the Celestial Echo draws, which use Lingering Melodies and Echo Beads. While you can obtain Lingering Melodies in-game through shops like Meow-Meow’s, getting Echo Beads is going to cost real-world money.

Doing 150 pulls guarantees you a legendary, like the Harmonic Core. Or you could, of course, just get super lucky!

So, Gacha Draw → Harmonic Core → Mirage Torn Page → Mirage Boat

As I’m sure you’ve gathered by now, getting your hands on 170 pages is going to be extremely pricey, but if money is no issue, then enjoy the spoils!

Mirage Boat Event

How to Access

This event can only be accessed on a Sunday at 5 am and 5 pm; however, this time can change based on your region. In addition, owners can initiate an event whenever they please.

Where Winds Meet: Lone Wanderer or Shared Journey (Solo or Multiplayer)

Why not both?

This can be found, again, on the Casual Co-op section of the Wandering Paths page.

Boat Activities

Once you get on board the boat, you may notice that there are a series of events available for you to partake in. Every time you partake in an event, you will earn an amount of Party / Fortune Points, which can net you some gifts from the Boat Owner, like Echo Jade, Adventure Slips and EXP.

The events are as follows:

  • Wrestling
  • Madiao Cards
  • Fishing Competition
  • Banquet Archery
  • Mahjong God Challenge
  • Beauty’s Rest
  • Swing Play
  • A Thousand Blossoming Trees
  • Ballad Singer
  • Radiant Elegance

While certain activities, such as Wrestling and Archery, will have you go through the actual mini-game, as you might have tried on the mainland, the activities like Beauty’s Rest and the Swing Play simply involve you sitting down and chilling out.

You can also access a fireworks shop (A Thousand Blossoming Trees Event) and use your regular currency to set off some fancy explosions of your own.

The best way to earn all 1000 points is simply to run around the ship and try everything they have to offer. Even if you don’t do well in these events, you’ll still earn the points eventually.

Even if you leave the boat without claiming the rewards, you can claim them later on in the mailbox menu.

Extra Content

In addition to the events, you have access to every single cosmetic the owner has. Well, temporarily, I might add. You can try on the cosmetics in the Wardrobe section, including the exclusive outfit that comes with the boat itself. However, as soon as you leave the event, these will no longer be available, so enjoy the look while you can!

The exclusive outfit is known in-game as the Celestial Mortal set and contains 4 items:

  • A Hairstyle
  • An Outfit
  • A Hair Ornament
  • A Large Accessory

The large accessory in question is actually a large white peacock that sits on your shoulder. If you can’t get on the boat but want to see what this reward looks like, head over to the mounts in the Appearance section and scroll down to QuianQiu Gift. This will give you an Elegance Score of 36,200.

Simply by playing this event, you can also claim rewards not tied to the boat owner, but instead on the Wandering Paths page. This way, you can earn Echo Jade, Adventure Slips, Inner Way Note Chests, EXP, and various other development materials for upgrading your gear.

After being on the boat, for, admittedly, a very short time, it seemed to be pretty barebones in terms of actual useful content, but I suppose it’s more of a flex in reality. It certainly isn’t a pay-to-win item, which is always nice to hear.

And at the end of the day, seeing as though Where Winds Meet is a free game, the devs need to earn their money back somehow. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the cruise while it lasts!
