In an unexpected comeback, the PS3-era scrolling shooter Caladrius Blaze is making its return with a sequel for the PlayStation 5. From H2 Interactive, Caladrius 2: Dark Element is set to launch on December 10, 2026. The game will be available globally in digital format but physical editions are exclusive to Japan, priced at 6,578 yen for the standard edition and 12,980 yen for the limited edition, according to PlayStation Lifestyle. This marks more than a decade since the original game graced the PlayStation 3 following its initial release as an Xbox exclusive.
New Titles & Updates Announced
Several new titles and updates were announced at the latest PlayStation State of Play event, showing a continued focus on both new experiences and tried-and-true series.
- Until Dawn 2: The much-anticipated sequel is set for release on January 28, 2027. This follow-up tasks players with guiding a team of ghost-hunters through a deadly island, cementing the series’ return with rich storytelling from AdHoc Studio.
- Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted: A spin on the roguelike genre features Jin Sakai back in action. This mode offers selectable characters and escalating challenges as players accept bounties and build their power.
- Maneater 2 Announcement: Six years after the original game, Tripwire Interactive announced Maneater 2, slated for a 2027 release. This “shARkPG” continues the creature-filled chaos of its predecessor, expanding the open-world experiences for both PS5 and other platforms.
