Two diverse new games launch on PS5, and a major RPG sees a significant price drop.
PlayStation 5 users have some intriguing new options to explore this week, alongside a noteworthy deal on a prominent RPG. A diverse set of game releases are now available, from alien survival adventures to Halloween horror thrills.
New Releases: Sci-Fi Survival and Slasher Horror Arrive on PS5
Players looking for fresh experiences have two new titles to consider. Honeycomb: The World Beyond, a sci-fi survival game from Frozen Way, has landed on the PlayStation Store. Set on the alien planet Sota7, players take on the role of a bioengineer tasked with building bases and exploring alien life. The game emphasizes resource collection and DNA splicing, adding a unique twist to the survival genre.
Meanwhile, horror enthusiasts can delve into Halloween: The Game, inspired by John Carpenter’s classic 1978 film. Developed by IllFonic with Gun Interactive as co-publisher, this asymmetrical horror game recreates the eerie Haddonfield setting and pits players against the infamous Michael Myers. Fans of the slasher genre will appreciate the game’s authentic 1970s aesthetic and atmosphere.

Industry News and Rumors
In industry news, a recent hoax regarding a supposed PS6 reveal caught the attention of many online, only to be debunked later. Originating from a satirical post by Mega64, this prank highlights the enduring interest in any news related to potential future PlayStation consoles—even if such announcements remain unfounded at this point.
Looking ahead, a new turn-based RPG from Taiwan, ‘Tianji: Shadow of the Ancients’, is making waves as a promising upcoming title for 2027. Boasting a combat system that blends turn-based commands with combo attacks, it promises to offer a fresh take on traditional mechanics. RPG fans eagerly anticipating unique gameplay may want to keep this release on their radar.
