This morning, Sony revealed a new State of Play, which is set to air on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. The PlayStation-focused event will begin with a new look at Marvel’s Wolverine.
Tim Turi, the Content Comms Manager at Sony Interactive Entertainment, confirmed the event will begin with Insomniac’s next game, then lead into 60 minutes of “news and announcements” coming to PlayStation 5.
It isn’t clear what to expect, but given we’re heading into a busy June filled with reveals and showcases, there is a ton of potential to highlight a variety of games coming to PlayStation. Whether that means our first look at Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 or Kingdom Hearts 4 remains to be seen, but it would be a nice surprise to have two hotly anticipated titles appear.
Of course, Naughty Dog is also working on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, and it has been some time since we’ve seen anything from the studio. Alternatively, I’d also enjoy seeing Bandai Namco reveal something new for the Tales of series. We do know another remaster is in the works after a leak last month, but it has been several years since the last mainline reveal. At least we have Tales of Eternia to look forward to.
