This year marks the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy 10, and while we’re still waiting on the long-rumoured remake of Final Fantasy 9, I’m happy to report that you can add more trinkets to your collection.
This week, a few new items have appeared for the celebrated title, including a Brotherhood-inspired keychain based on the sword Wakka gave to Tidus, which originally belonged to his brother. It’s got the wonderful sea-blue colour, and I already know I want one for my keys.
It’s available on Square Enix’s Japanese store for ¥1,980 or around $18 CAD. Like many of the company’s products, it is made of acrylic (this is a huge trend I noticed when I was browsing the Square Enix store in Shibuya last year and at many of the pop-ups around Tokyo). Expect a September release of the Brotherhood keychain.
Next, a Tidus-inspired shoulder bag is coming later this year, and it’s pretty chic with a Zanarkand Abes logo adorning the zipper. It also features Tidus’ colours: blue and yellow on the side, has multiple storage pouches inside and costs ¥5,280 or $45 CAD.
Not to be forgotten, Yuna’s also getting her own tote bag that looks ideal for a day at the beach. The bag features patterns matching those on the summoner’s garb, with a deep royal purple strap. I can see this one being popular (heck, I want one for my trips to the beaches in Greece). It also has side pockets for extra storage. The Yuna shoulder tote bag costs ¥6,050 (about $53 CAD) and is set to arrive this September.
Square Enix also revealed that a pop-up store is coming, but didn’t announce a venue or date for when it’ll open to the public.
