Remedy Entertainment want us all to start off the new school and work year with a little Control Resonant.
We got a great look today at the pure anger of Dylan Faden, making things seem as though he is an unwilling protagonist. Remedy says they’ve kept quiet about Jesse Faden’s role this time because “turning the dynamic around means letting the other sibling step forward: Dylan, the ‘face of the enemy’ from the original.”
She’s still around, but we’re following Dylan now. Resonant explores Faden’s past, what it means, and what will become of it. Dylan’s been trapped in the Federal Bureau of Control for years, and it has led to disaster. Jesse eventually cleansed her brother of a paranormal force, and a hundred died, while Dylan went comatose. Now he’s awake and trying to navigate a new world.
Dylan wields the Aberrant, a shapeshifting melee weapon, key to your arsenal. We see it transform into a hammer, a blade, a scythe, and fists, providing a versatile toolkit. Progression leans into unlocking new Aberrant forms, abilities, and combos with deeper customization systems to specialize powers and moves.
As Manhattan becomes more twisted, traversing its zones becomes harder for Dylan. His abilities, such as Reach, allow him to navigate spaces that no longer follow the laws of physics. Areas where gravity and orientation shift entirely are called Gravity Anomalies, and Shift allows Dylan to fly.
What could the FBC be up to? We only have to wait the rest of the summer to find out!
