
At Summer Game Fest last month, Patrice Désilets, one of the creators of the Assassin’s Creed series, unveiled 1666: Amsterdam. This third-person action-adventure title will be released soon on PC.
In a post on X, journalist Stephen Totilo made a small revelation. In fact, 1666: Amsterdam was originally supposed to be published by Xbox. However, the American company ultimately withdrew its funding from the project.
This isn’t the first time Microsoft has pulled this stunt! The company had made a similar decision regarding John Romero’s FPS and Avalanche Studios’ Contraband.
