Moss: The Forgotten Relic, A Packaged Non-VR Version of the First Two Moss Games Has Been Announced, Launching This Summer

For anyone like me who skipped on ever getting a VR headset, there are so many games in that space that have passed me by, but one experience I’ve only heard great things about is the Moss games. Now those adventures will no longer be exclusive to VR, as Moss developer Polyarc has announced Moss: The Forgotten Relic, a reimagined compilation that retells the story of Moss and Moss: Book II in a definitive single adventure on PC and consoles, launching this summer.

Those experiencing these games for the first time in Moss: The Forgotten Relic will not just get two games in one, but for the release, Polyarc has enhanced the visuals and performances. Alongside, the game also features new handcrafted cut scenes, an added Smart Follow” camera, accessibility “Skip Combat” option, and includes all “Twilight Garden” downloadable content.

“Journey through the pages of a living fable. Moss: The Forgotten Relic is an emotional and atmospheric adventure set in the pages of a living storybook, brimming with myth and ancient magic. Guide a tiny but determined hero on a heartfelt journey of challenge, courage, and connection. Traverse a fallen kingdom, solve environmental puzzles woven into the landscape, and embark on a timeless adventure,” a synopsis writes.

Features:

  • Explore a Fallen Kingdom – Venture through a mythic land marked by the ruins of an ancient realm slowly being reclaimed by an enduring and untamed nature
  • Guide an Unlikely Hero – Form a powerful bond with Quill, a small and courageous mouse who looks to you for guidance, protection, and trust at every step of her journey
  • Embark on a Timeless Tale – Uncover hidden secrets, navigate puzzling places, and confront arcane forces in an intimate and epic fable inspired by classic fantasy adventures.

Moss originally launched exclusively on PS4 via the console’s PSVR headset on February 27th, 2018 but was later launched on PC via VR headsets on June 7th and then on May 21st, 2019 for Oculus Quest with an enhanced port released on PS5 via PSVR2 on February 22nd, 2023. Its still VR sequel, Moss: Book II released in 2022 first on March 31st for PS4, then on July 21st for Meta Quest 2, and then on October 20th for PC with a PS5 port releasing later on February 22nd, 2023.

Moss: The Forgotten Relic is launching for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2
