Facing serious financial difficulties, French publisher Nacon is seeking to sell its studios and some of its licenses to stay afloat. Unfortunately, the company was unable to find a buyer for the developer Spiders, known for the Greedfall franchise, which has since closed its doors.

Now, we’ve learned that Nacon has parted ways with the Blood Bowl franchise. This is a series of fantasy American football games based on Warhammer. Slitherine Software has taken over the franchise. Based in England, this company has developed numerous strategy and war games.

It’s worth noting that the Blood Bowl franchise will continue to be developed by Cyanide Studios. Slitherine has stated that it “continue actively supporting and expanding the Blood Bowl video game, with a strong focus on community feedback, long-term development, and ongoing player engagement.”
