Absolum came out last October and was quite the unexpected hit in 2025. The roguelite beat ’em up won several awards and quickly sold 500,000 copies.
The project was led by publisher Dotemu and developers Guard Crush Games and Supamonks. Unfortunately, Supamonks was placed in judicial liquidation on June 24 following a decision by the Créteil Commercial Court. The reasons for this decision are currently unknown.
When it comes to Absolum, Supamonks handled the art direction and animations.
